Governance
Helping Relieve Poverty NPC is a registered Non-Profit Company (registration number 2022/734908/08) and a Public Benefit Organisation/Section 18A (PBO number 930078486).
The NPC is audited by Amelia Muller from Acker & Malone Inc and receives pro-bono legal consultation from Johan du Toit, SC
Founders / directors
The founders/directors of Helping Relieve Poverty were individually involved for longer than 15 years with various community relieve projects. During the covid pandemic the lack of proper coordinated actions to address the needs and distribution of humanitarian aid effectively were highlighted. It was then decided to register a NPC/NPO to enhance the collaboration between the local community, business leaders, national and local government, church leaders and other NPC’s. The focus will be to identify projects to relieve poverty, upliftment, skills development of young and old, trauma counselling and development of a place of safety for traumatized women and children and the elderly.
Projects
Helping Relieve Poverty will only be able to help create an environment that are inclusive of all and together to have a community living with dignity and hope for the future, with your help. We are currently looking at the initiation of the following projects:

Compassionate fund to assist people with emergencies
Place of safety
On the longer term to create a place of safety for abused children and women

Partnering for Hope: Bringing Joy & Relief to Great Brak River This Festive Season
This festive season, we partnered with the Dutch Reformed Church in Great Brak River to bring joy & practical relief to 115 families. By supporting their holiday ‘Bridge of Hope’ with food parcels & vouchers, we witnessed the power of community collaboration to create dignity and lasting impact

‘n Saadjie van Hoop: Hoe ‘n Boek ‘n Toekoms in Groot-Brakrivier Kan Bou
‘n Nuwe leesprojek is by vier laerskole in Groot-Brakrivier van stapel gestuur. Graad 1-leerders het elk ‘n boek ontvang om te personaliseer en te deel. Hierdie inisiatief deur Helping Relieve Poverty NPC, ondersteun deur plaaslike borge, bou grondslagfase geletterdheid – die kritieke eerste stap op ‘n pad na toekomstige vaardighede, geleenthede en gemeenskapsgroei.
